Subhadra Sarkar is a self-taught, passionate hobby artist based in Bangalore. She considers herself fortunate to have had the opportunity to live in and travel through various countries in Europe, Canada, and the USA, thanks to her husband's profession. During these travels, she learned some techniques by attending workshops led by renowned artists. She also attended a few workshops in Bangalore, India.
Sarkar began her artistic journey with oil painting in 2013 and gradually developed an interest in acrylics, dry pastels, graphite pencils, and color pencils. Over time, she became particularly passionate about transparent watercolor.
✔ Year 2014 Online oil painting workshop of “Paint Basket” by Nolan Clark. Exhibited oil paintings in Montreal Canada.
✔ Year 2015 Acrylic and oil painting workshop of “Shiny Colours” by Bijay Biswal. Participated in Akansha’s Group show at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath.
✔ Year 2016 Participated in Akansha’s group show at Rangoli Metro Art Gallery. Exhibited paintings at academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata.
✔ Year 2017 Awarded 5th place jury award in International Art contest conducted in Melbourn, Australia. Participated in International Watercolour Society (IWS ) 2nd Biennale, Delhi.
✔ Year 2018 Participated in 1st International Water Colour Society (IWS) Biennale, Prague, Czech Republic. Participated for a Charity Show of Narayana Hrudalaya at Rangoli Metro Gallery, Bangalore.
✔ Year 2019 Participated in Chitra Santhe 2019. Participated in a group exhibition at Karnataka Chitrakala Parisath.
✔ Year 2020 Participated in Chitra Santhe 2020.
✔ Year 2021 Participated in Chitra Santhe 2021 and online international art contest and got 1st prize.
✔ Year 2022 Participated in India Art Festival and Chitra Santhe.
✔ Year 2023 Participated in India Art Festival and Chitra Santhe. Also participated in group show in IIWC Bangalore
