Monalisa Sarkar


Monalisa Sarkar, raised in Jharkhand, has had a close relationship with colored paper and canvas since her childhood. The natural beauty of Jharkhand has profoundly influenced her artwork, evident in the themes and subjects she chooses to paint.


Monalisa draws inspiration from various art movements such as Impressionism, Classicism, and Romanticism, as well as the works of old masters. These influences are reflected in the majority of her creations. Her art revolves around the concept of preserving the essence of constancy and continuity in life.


Her artistic journey is imbued with a deep appreciation for the beauty of existence, and she infuses her work with rich narratives and the bonds of love. Monalisa aspires for her paintings to bring about a positive change in the world.


Apart from her passion for art, Monalisa finds solace and inspiration in spending time amidst nature and with animals. She fondly recalls the carefree days of her childhood when she, along with siblings and friends, used to play in the embrace of nature.
