Art has always been an integral part of her growing years. Love for visual expression has always been the focus even in her childhood. A meditative mood emerges when she is engrossed in her art. For Manushalini, as in music, when the notes are in harmony, they enchant the soul and bring joy. So also, when the color notes are harmonious, they enliven the mood.
Nature is the primary source of inspiration in her paintings.
For Manushalini, nature is beautiful and bountiful, and she continues exploring its gifts through her art.
Manushalini specializes in still life and flowers are her primary focus. Her still life has unique composition and color harmony and each painting brings about a different mood and emotion. Art has not served its purpose until it speaks to your soul is what she believes. Her medium of painting is ‘oil paints’. All her paintings are painted alla prima. Alla prima is an Italian phrase for wet-on-wet. The paintings are painted from live observation. Manushalini has trained under Barry John Raybould, an internationally renowned plein air artist, residing in Tuscany, Italy. Her training has imbibed in her a deep sense of color, composition, and design.
Manushalini is a commerce graduate and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration. She has previously worked in the Banking Sector.

1) Colors of Joy exhibition in June 2019 at Prabodhankar Thackeray Hall, Borivali (west).
2) Metamorphosis exhibition in April 2023 at The Stainless Gallery, New Delhi, curated by Luna Arts.
3) Art of the Heart exhibition in May 2023, at ITC Sheraton, Saket, New Delhi, organized by award-winning curator, Mr. Vikram Sethi.
Her art has been recognized for its unique composition and color harmony and her painting has even sold in the US.
