A puja kalash is one of the most important ritual items required for a puja ceremony of any Hindu god or goddess as it represents Shakti or the feminine power. These mango leaves represent Kama, the god of love and symbolize the pleasure aspect of fertility. A puja kalash is always complete with a coconut at the top, sculpted here with a pointed top and etched with realistic striations all over. This coconut is like the cash crop, representing prosperity and power. When you perform puja rituals, this kalash is filled with water, which is believed to be the amrita (elixir of life) and represents wisdom, immortality and abundance.
