The earliest references of filigree can be seen in the Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilizations. Later it spread to south Asian countries in the late 16th century. It has revealed several similarities between Indian and Greek filigree as the techniques and patterns were alike. The great art of filigree is very ancient. It is usually made of gold and silver. The craftwork also constitutes small beads or twisted threads, or both of these in an artistic combination.

This excellent piece of filigree is carved and engraved by our bench jewellers. This silver and gold filigree jewellery would, at once, remind of refined and intricate designs created with silver and golden wires as our artisans took their time studding opaque and spaniel gemstones on this attractive sterling silver pendant. The mandala design of the pendant adds more charm to it, as it represents wholeness, unity and harmony. The orderly shapes and patterns are pleasing not just to the eyes, but calms our minds and help in meditation and healing.

The centuries-old art of hewing metal jewellery, specifically silver and gold with gemstones survives to date with contemporary designs. It is a versatile pendant that would look royally magnificent with modern and ethnic wear.
